Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Planetary Clock (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.

Description of Service

Planetary Clock is a free iOS application for astronomical timekeeping. It provides:

• Planetary Hours: Real-time calculation of the classical planetary hours from true sunrise and sunset.
• Ruler of the Day: The classical planet governing each day and hour.
• Moon Phase: The current phase of the Moon.
• Calendar View: A monthly calendar showing lunar phases and planetary hours, computed entirely on your device. No events are created or stored in the cloud.
• Location-Based Accuracy: Sunrise and sunset times computed from your device's coordinates.

The App is designed for informational and educational purposes only. It is free to download and use, with no subscriptions, in-app purchases, or advertising.

Informational Nature

All content provided by the App — including planetary hours, astronomical data, and Moon phase — is intended for informational and educational purposes only. It should not be considered as professional advice (medical, financial, legal, or otherwise).

Users are solely responsible for their decisions and actions. We make no warranties regarding the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of the information provided.

No Account Required

Planetary Clock does not require you to create an account or sign in. You may use all features of the App without registering.

• Age Requirement: You must be at least 13 years old to use the App.
• No Personal Credentials: We do not collect or store usernames, passwords, or authentication tokens.

User Conduct

You agree to use the App responsibly and lawfully. You will not:

• Use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or hack the App
• Distribute, modify, or create derivative works without permission
• Use the App in a way that could harm, disable, or impair its functionality
• Upload malicious code, viruses, or any harmful content
• Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the App

Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of the App are the property of Planetary Clock and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

• App design, interface, and user experience
• Source code and software architecture
• Planetary Clock name, logo, and branding
• Original content, descriptions, and text
• Calculation algorithms and methodologies

Your Preferences

App preferences and settings are stored locally on your device. We do not store any user-generated content in the cloud.

Traditional Knowledge

The planetary-hours system and the classical planetary correspondences are part of public-domain historical knowledge. Our specific implementation and presentation are proprietary.

Third-Party Services

The App integrates with third-party services to provide its functionality:

• Apple App Store: Distributes the App to your device.
• Google Firebase: Provides anonymous analytics (Firebase Analytics), crash reporting (Firebase Crashlytics), and remote configuration (Firebase Remote Config).

These services have their own terms of service and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices or content of third-party services. By using the App, you agree to comply with the terms of these third-party providers.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to:

• Warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
• Accuracy, reliability, or completeness of content
• Uninterrupted, error-free, or secure operation
• Freedom from viruses or other harmful components
• Results obtained from using the App

Your use of the App is at your own risk. We do not warrant that planetary-hour calculations will be accurate or suitable for your purposes.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Planetary Clock and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents shall not be liable for:

• Indirect Damages: Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
• Data Loss: Loss of data, files, or personal information
• Financial Loss: Loss of profits, revenue, or business opportunities
• Personal Injury: Physical or psychological harm resulting from App use
• Third-Party Actions: Actions or omissions of third-party service providers
• Service Interruptions: Unavailability or termination of the App or services

In jurisdictions that do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability, our liability shall be limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Use at any time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or other factors.

• Effective Date: Changes become effective immediately upon posting unless otherwise stated
• Review Date: The "Last updated" date at the top indicates the most recent revision
• Continued Use: Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms
• Disagreement: If you do not agree with the updated terms, please discontinue use of the App

Termination

Because no user account exists, there is no account to delete. You may stop using the App at any time simply by uninstalling it from your device.

We reserve the right to withdraw or discontinue the App, in whole or in part, at any time. We may also restrict access for users who:

• Violate these Terms of Use
• Engage in fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity
• Are subject to a request by law enforcement or a legal order

Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. Provisions regarding intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and dispute resolution shall survive termination.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Planetary Clock and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from:

• Your use or misuse of the App
• Your violation of these Terms of Use
• Your violation of any third-party rights, including intellectual property rights
• Your violation of any applicable laws or regulations
• Any actions you take using the App

Dispute Resolution

Informal Resolution

Before filing any formal legal action, you agree to first contact us at support@manaclavis.com to attempt to resolve the dispute informally. We will make a good-faith effort to resolve any disputes within 30 days.

Arbitration

If informal resolution fails, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration rather than in court, except where prohibited by law. Arbitration shall be conducted by a neutral arbitrator in accordance with applicable arbitration rules.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms of Use are governed by and construed in accordance with international laws and regulations applicable to digital services:

• CCPA: California Consumer Privacy Act (United States)
• COPPA: Children's Online Privacy Protection Act

For users in specific jurisdictions, additional local laws may apply. In the event of conflict between these terms and local law, local law shall prevail to the extent of the conflict.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms of Use is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. The invalid provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable.

Entire Agreement

These Terms of Use, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Planetary Clock regarding your use of the App. They supersede any prior agreements, understandings, or representations, whether written or oral.
